This Medical Surveillance Program is designed to ensure early identification and treatment of signs and symptoms of occupational injuries and illnesses, to aid in their prevention, and to prevent their recurrence. This program includes the services of qualified health care providers with training in the prevention and treatment of
occupational injuries and illnesses. Each work shift is requiredto have access to qualified health care providers. Where such personnel are not available on-site, arrangements are required to be made for the services of local health care providers on an as-needed basis who are equally qualified.
